Dar Hi

Dar Hi is conceived as a village unto itself, rising naturally from the landscape of Nefta and enclosed by a perimeter wall in keeping with local architectural tradition. The building follows the contours of the terrain, appearing to emerge directly from the ground. The stay begins at the entrance, where guests leave their car behind and slip on babouches before stepping inside. The wellness space, HI body and soul, brings together massage and treatment rooms, a relaxing oil bath, a meditation room, a steam hammam heated with hot desert water, a thermal pool with massage jets, and a yoga lounge. Treatments draw on the traditional plant essences of the Djerid region, long valued for their therapeutic properties, alongside sulphurous waters used for millennia to address skin conditions, neuralgia, rheumatism and circulatory disorders. Masseurs trained by Bertrand Poncet, partner of the HI hôtel in Nice, offer traditional Arabic massage, hammam scrubs and a range of oriental techniques.
